The fabric actually repels the muddy water instead of soaking it in, so I just shook it off and the worst was already gone. It's now lives by the back door permanently, and post-walk paw wiping takes about thirty seconds instead of a full bathroom cleanup.

The color is so cheerful I almost forgot it was for the dog, and it actually soaked up a whole post-lake swim's worth of water in one pass. My labrador rolled in the mud right after, and the towel caught most of the mess before it hit the hallway floor.

After a lake swim, this towel soaked up all the water in seconds and barely dripped on the floor—the bright Rhubark & Custard pattern is a bonus for spotting it in the chaos.
