Donald Judd: Artworks 1970-1994

This monumental volume transforms the traditional art book into a sculptural object itself, with bold typography wrapping around the spine and echoing Judd's commitment to form. Meticulously crafted to honor his insistence on clarity and precision, the book becomes an object of consideration—its design embodying the same thoughtful restraint that defined Judd's practice.

Within, Judd's diverse works are reproduced with exacting attention to material truth, allowing the quiet power of these elemental forms to speak for themselves. Published to accompany the major retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art, this definitive collection gathers critical essays from historians, critics, and writers alongside rich new analyses of Judd's oeuvre, artistic philosophy, and enduring influence, while remaining true to his insistence on directness and intellectual rigor.

Donald Judd (1928-1994) revolutionized minimalist sculpture by eschewing classical representational ideals in favor of creating a rigorous visual vocabulary of simple, defined objects. His straightforward approach to materials and space established him as one of the most significant American artists of the 20th century, whose influence continues to resonate across contemporary art and design.
