Beads of sweat coursed down the desperado’s brow, so he tugged his hat low to shield his eyes from the relentless trickle. The merciless sun blazed upon him and his weary steed with no cloud cover to reprieve them from the heat—or from the lawmen hounding his trail. He may have won that poker hand outright but pocket aces looked dirty enough to brand him an outlaw. Without water, the desert would claim him before the law ever did. An eagle’s cry split the silence, and a steer’s skull lay on the parched earth—an omen of doom if ever there was one. Yet the outlaw felt a thrill stir within him, for he had always savored the taste of impossible odds.

Outlaw, the latest Tornado™ Exclusive from Dromgoole’s Pens with Marty Henderson, rides in with the grit of the frontier and a wild spirit. The most wanted pen in the Old West is a limited edition of 300 rollerballs so best capture this legend today before it escapes never to be seen again.

That outlaw on the barrel looks like he's been through hell, and the detail on his sweaty brow and the dusty tones is sharper in person than in the photos. The rollerball glides smoothly without any skipping, which makes it a fun one to actually write with rather than just display.

The artwork on this one tells a story—that desperado looks like he’s about to melt right off the pen, and the finish captures every shade of sunburn and dust. It’s a desk piece I actually enjoy picking up, and the rollerball glides smoother than my old everyday writer.

The polymer grip section sits perfectly in my hand, and that engraved desperado scene on the barrel is so detailed I keep turning it to admire it. Writes smooth and dark right out of the box, which is all I ask for.
