Estremoz marble is a high-quality, Portuguese marble defined by its fine grain and red-tinged cream base with varying patterns and veining that spans pink, cream and white to grey or black. The marble is treated with a sealant to provide the optimal compromise between a natural finish and functionality.
The veining in my slab runs differently on every tile, which worried me at first but now it's my favorite part of the counter. Fine grain means it polishes up almost glassy, and spills wipe off before they can soak in.
The red-tinged cream base has this subtle veining that shifts depending on the light, which I wasn't expecting from photos. Fine grain too, so it feels smooth rather than gritty along the edges. Cut it for a small entryway shelf and it looks way more expensive than what I paid.
The red-tinged cream base is even prettier in person than in the photos, and the fine grain gives it a really smooth, almost silky feel that I didn't expect. It's the centerpiece of my Harbour Column Table, and the varying pattern makes it look like a one-of-a-kind piece.
