Losing the hook when hanging it up would have annoyed me, so the fact that it's built right into the handle and the whole head retracts for storage makes cleanup way less of a hassle. The silicone bristles held up fine through a few saucy grilling sessions, and the extending handle kept my knuckles

Finally, a brush that doesn't shed bristles into my sauce—the retractable head slides back into the handle so it's a cinch to store in the drawer. The removable head also made cleanup way less annoying than my old wooden one.

The bristles retracting into the handle is such a smart touch—it slides right into my drawer without snagging on anything, and the removable head makes cleanup a breeze. Basting ribs felt way less awkward than with my old brush.
