Hippo Safety Blanket (Crochet)

I've crocheted for years but always avoided amigurumi until this hippo — the US standard terms made the whole thing painless. Finished it in three evenings with just a 4mm hook and some scrap yarn. My niece hasn't put it down since.

I've only been crocheting a few months and this hippo blanket pattern was genuinely easy to follow. Each round is laid out step by step, so I never got lost even on the ears and snout. My niece hasn't put it down since I finished it.
