Homespun Arrow Stitch Baby Blanket (Crochet)

Homespun Arrow Stitch Baby Blanket (Crochet) - Main image

Use Homespun yarn to make a beautiful arrow stitch crochet baby blanket with lots of dimension! The arrow stitch takes a little getting used to, but with some practice you can work this easy-to-memorize two-row repeat pattern quickly with bulky yarn!

I knew I wanted to try a very textural stitch to make the yarn itself as well as the subtle color changes really pop.

For the border, I opted for herringbone half double crochet. I love the cozy feel! It’s a favorite border of mine.

I hope you enjoy this pattern!

Owen Y. ★★★★★

The texture from Homespun yarn gives this blanket so much dimension, and the arrow stitch makes it feel thicker than I expected once it's all worked up. Pattern took me a few rows to get the rhythm, but after that it was easy to memorize and perfect for binge-watching sessions.

The arrow stitch pattern really pops with this yarn, giving the blanket a lot of depth that photos don't fully capture. I was a bit worried about the learning curve mentioned in the description, but after one test row it clicked and worked up fast.

The stitch pattern takes a few rows to click, but once it does, the texture is wonderfully dimensional—my sister-in-law actually teared up when she unwrapped it. The Homespun yarn makes it feel soft and substantial, perfect for a newborn.
