The merino wool is so soft my toddler doesn't try to yank it out, which is honestly a first. The alligator clip has teeth and actually grips her fine hair without slipping. I've already ordered a second one in another color.
The alligator clip actually stays put in my fine hair, which never happens with other bows I've tried. The hand-dyed color has this subtle variation that makes it feel way more special than a mass-produced one. Wore it to a wedding and got three compliments before dinner.
The merino wool is unbelievably soft and the french-knit texture gives it such a nice handmade look. I clipped it onto a headband for my daughter's birthday photos and it stayed put the whole afternoon, even with her running around.
