Category: Brooklyn Candle Studio

TOP NOTES: Cardamom, Cypress
MIDDLE NOTES: Hinoki, Santal, Orris Root
BASE NOTE: Patchouli, Musk

Kyoto’s bathhouses, lined with fragrant hinoki, inspired this meditative blend of soothing woods. Top notes of fresh cypress and a hint of cardamom open up to a woody heart of fresh hinoki, creamy santal, and powdery orris root, while a background of earthy patchouli and musk add balance and depth.

Made in Brooklyn, New York with 100% soy wax for an eco-friendly clean burn. We use lead-free cotton wicks and premium fragrance oils infused with essential oils. Our candles are vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and petroleum-free.

Please keep in mind that because we use 100% soy wax, our candles are, by design, not as super strong as those made or enhanced with paraffin wax. Our reason for using pure soy wax is 1) because it is a sustainable ingredient and 2) because paraffin wax emits benzene and formaldehyde, known carcinogens, when burned. Unlike paraffin-based candles, our candles are designed to be friendly for fragrance-induced migraine and allergy sufferers and sensitive noses. Our candles are intended to complement, not overpower your space.

Protect and prevent loss of fragrance between burning sessions with Classic Candle Lids.

Zoe ★★★★★

The scent throws me straight into a calm, meditative state—the cypress and hinoki are earthy without being overpowering. Burn time has been solid so far, and the two wicks create a nice, even melt pool across the top.

Victoria ★★★★★

The cardamom and hinoki blend is incredibly calming, and the two wicks burn evenly so the whole room fills with that woody scent without getting overpowering. I've had it going for about three hours now and the throw is still consistent.

Isabella N. ★★★★★

The hinoki and cypress notes are so grounding—it genuinely smells like stepping into a quiet, wood-lined bathhouse. I’ve lit it during evening work sessions and the scent stays present but never overwhelms. The 2-wick design gives a nice, even burn too.
