The fabric is garment washed, so it came out of the package incredibly soft with no stiff linen feel at all. I’ve washed it twice now and the texture’s only gotten better.

I keep reaching for this cover even in the middle of the night, the garment-washed flax feels broken-in from day one and the white is a crisp, clean blank slate. It’s held up through two washes already without any pilling or stiffness, which is more than I can say for other linens I’ve tried.

The linen is genuinely soft right out of the package, no scratchy break-in period like I expected. It wrinkles a lot, which I knew going in, but it washes well and feels cooler than my old cotton cover.
