In December 2023, HARMAN launched its first ever color film Phoenix 200, crafted entirely at their Mobberley, UK factory. True to their word, the HARMAN team has spent the months since collecting feedback from the community and further developing and optimizing their color film formula.

Now, HARMAN Phoenix II 120 rises. Each layer and component has been redesigned and reengineered: new dyes, couplers and layer construction. The result is noticeably finer grain, better color reproduction, controlled contrast, increased sharpness, and a wider dynamic range — all making Phoenix II easier to shoot, as well as easier to scan.

The grain is beautifully pronounced and the color shifts feel genuinely experimental—every frame from this first UK-made batch has this unpredictable warmth that reminds me of old expired stock, but in a good way. I've been shooting a roll a week since it arrived.

Charlotte ★★★★★

Shooting this in my medium format camera felt like a revelation—the grain has that lovely, organic texture you just don’t get from digital, and the skin tones are beautifully warm without going orange. The fact that it’s made entirely in the UK at one factory is a bonus I’m happy to support.

The colors came out with this wild, unpredictable character that I haven’t seen from any other 120 stock—grainy but not harsh, like a memory. I loaded a roll for a cloudy afternoon and the skin tones still held that warm punch I was hoping for. Glad I grabbed a few extra rolls before they sell out a
