The 8x8 size is perfect for small studies and the cotton surface has just enough tooth for oils without drinking up half my paint. Unbleached and double primed, so I could start layering right away.

The 8x8 size is perfect for the little studies I do before committing to a big piece, and the acrylic gesso took my oils without any weird spots. Only thing is the cotton has a bit more tooth than I like, so I have to work a little harder to blend.

The double gesso priming saved me a step — I could start painting right out of the package with oils. Only nitpick is the canvas has a bit more tooth than I like for fine detail work, but for the price it's a solid deal.
