I was a little worried the black would swallow the design, but the cream dandelion stems really stand out against it. The fabric has a lovely weight to it—sturdy enough for drapery but still soft to the touch.
The dandelion pattern is so crisp against that deep black, and the cotton linen blend has just the right amount of drape for a structured tote. I cut into it without any fraying headaches, which was a pleasant surprise.
I’ve been sewing with this fabric for a week now and the cotton linen blend drapes beautifully without that stiff, board-like feel some linens have. The dandelion pattern is so delicate against the noir background, and the cream and green tones add just enough contrast to keep it from looking flat.
