The Quiet Botanist: In The Weeds Candle

A candle that captures the atmospheric intelligence of its namesake Hudson shop—where botanical knowledge meets refined craft. In The Weeds traces a deliberate path through Upstate New York's wooded terrain: cedar and oud's resinous opening gives way to the unexpected softness of baises roses, before settling into amber, myrrh, and dark musk's earthy resolve. This is fragrance as landscape memory rather than olfactory decoration.

Hand-poured using coconut wax and beeswax, free from the synthetic shortcuts that characterize most commercial candles. What distinguishes this from ambient décor is its origin in actual floristry—scents developed by people who work daily with living plants, understanding their subtle chemical signatures.

Available in two formats, each with its own logic: The large 14oz candle offers 80-90 hours of burn time and arrives in a printed botanical box with a signature oversized matchbook whose botanical illustrations transform the act of lighting into small ceremony. The mini 3.5oz candle (approximately 20 hours burn time) comes in a printed botanical box—a more compact proposition that maintains the same scent intelligence in different scale.
