I clip this to my belt loop when I walk the dog and it frees up both hands for the leash and my phone. The wristlet strap is soft enough that it doesn't dig in, and my keys haven't tangled once since I switched.

The wrist strap is comfortable enough to wear while running errands, and it keeps my keys from digging into my palm. I did notice the black finish shows scuffs after a couple weeks in my bag, but it still clips on securely.
