The Zodiac Collectibles are a set of miniature ceramic sculptures inspired by the Japanese annual zodiac. From an extruded clay form, each piece is cut by hand, detailed, glazed and fired with care by the skilled craftspeople of Tajimi in the mountains of central Japan. Each Zodiac Collectible is developed in close collaboration with Tajimi Custom Tiles. The Japanese Zodiac operates on a 12 year cycle, with the year of the Boar falling in 2019, 2007, 1995... Product Information: Due to their hand-crafted nature, each piece can vary in size and colour, with discrepancies a mark of their detailed craft process. Each piece is free-standing and roughly 50x50x50mm in size. The Zodiac Collectibles are free standing miniature sculptures.

The hand-cut details on this little boar are surprisingly crisp for something so tiny—you can really see the care in each groove. It’s got a nice weight to it that makes it feel sturdy on my shelf, and the red clay color warms up the whole display.
