The hands-on casting instruction on the bay’s calm flats made everything click for me, even on day one. I loved that we spent real time in the water instead of just on a lawn, and the small class size meant I got personal feedback with every cast.

I was skeptical about picking up fly fishing in a day, but being out on the scenic Chesapeake Bay waters made the whole experience click. The hands-on casting practice on the bay was exactly what I needed, and by the afternoon I was actually landing a few fish.

The instructors broke everything down so clearly that I was casting with confidence by lunchtime, and the hands-on time on the water made all the difference. Even as a total beginner, I left feeling like I could actually go fish on my own, and the scenic bay setting just added to it.
