Grand Master Flash, LI, NY

The close-up of Grandmaster Flash is so sharp you can almost count the scratches on the turntable behind him. Black-and-white was the right call here, it gives the whole portrait a raw, timeless feel that color would've ruined.

Hung this in my hallway and the grain in the close-up is gorgeous, you can almost see every texture in his face. Arrived well packed with no bent corners, which I was worried about with a print this size. It's the real deal for anyone who grew up on that era of hip-hop.

The black-and-white contrast on this portrait is striking, and the close-up framing really captures his expression. It's printed on quality paper too, no glare when the afternoon light hits it. Way better than the poster I had up before.
