The padding is thick enough that I can grab a hot cast-iron skillet straight from the oven without flinching, and the gray color hides tomato stains surprisingly well. It’s also longer than my old mitts, so my forearm finally feels covered when I’m pulling out a heavy roasting pan.

The quilted outside really grips the handle well, and that long forearm coverage saved me from a splash of hot oil last night. It’s light enough to move quickly between pots, yet the padding feels substantial when I grab a screaming-hot cast iron skillet.

Picked this up in light gray and it matches my kitchen towels nicely. The quilted padding on the outside feels substantial, and the extra length on the forearm is a nice touch for reaching into the oven. Only wish the thumb were a bit more defined for a better grip.
