The owl compass is a brilliant touch—my kid actually used it to lead us around the yard like a real explorer, and the penknife felt sturdy enough for whittling sticks. The camera came in handy for snapping blurry shots of squirrels, which is exactly the chaos we wanted.

The drawstring bag held everything perfectly for our day hike, and the penknife came in clutch when we needed to cut some rope. The mosquito spray actually kept the bugs off, which made the whole adventure way more enjoyable.

The drawstring bag is surprisingly sturdy for how light it is, and the owl compass feels like a proper piece of gear, not a toy. My kid spent a whole afternoon pretending to scout with the penknife and water bottle before we even left the house.
