The gathered cotton has this subtle texture that catches the light way better than the flat drum shade it replaced. Biscuit is a warm neutral too, so it doesn't fight the brass base I've had for years.

I swapped out a plain linen shade for this one and the gathered cotton instantly made the lamp look more expensive. The 40cm size is perfect for my bedside base, and the biscuit tone throws a warm, soft glow at night. The block print has a subtle vintage feel without being busy.

The gathered cotton gives the 40cm empire shade a softness most shades don't have, and the light it throws is warm without being yellow. It took me ten minutes to fit on my base, but the fit is snug.
