That stainless steel clamp really holds tight—no more leaks at the connection after I replaced the worn-out end. Brass shank feels solid and should last.

My 5/8 hose was leaking right at the female end and this mender fixed it in about ten minutes. The stainless steel clamp actually bites down hard enough that I can't get it to leak even at full pressure. Solid brass too, so I expect it to outlast the hose itself.

The brass shank threaded right onto my 5/8 hose and the stainless steel clamp sealed it tight, no drips after a full week of watering. Way sturdier than the plastic mender I tried last summer.
