The 18-gauge copper strands are plenty thick for running 24V to all my valves, and the UV-resistant jacket gives me peace of mind knowing it'll hold up in the sun before I get it buried. Cut it cleanly and stripped easily, so the whole install took less than an hour.

I buried this in a wet patch of yard last month and the UV-resistant jacket still looks brand new—no fraying or cracking. It handled the 24V signal from my controller to all five valves without any voltage drop that I can tell. Exactly the solid, direct-burial wire I needed for the job.

The 18-gauge copper strands felt solid while I was burying it along the drip line, and that UV-resistant jacket gives me peace of mind for the summer sun. It carried the 24 VAC to all three valves without a hitch on the first try.
