BANANA BLOSSOM 400g

I was skeptical about banana blossom as a meat substitute, but the texture after cooking is surprisingly close to shredded chicken. Used it for a vegan "fish" and chips, and the slight tanginess was perfect.

I usually grab jackfruit for vegan tacos but tried this instead and honestly prefer it. The pieces hold their tear shape way better when you fry them up with taco seasoning, and the 400g tin gave me enough for two dinners.

I was skeptical about the texture but it actually shreds just like pulled pork once you drain and rinse it. The tear-shaped pieces held up way better than jackfruit in my tacos.
