The feather and fan ripple looks way more complicated than it actually is, and after one repeat I had the two-row pattern memorized. Used super bulky yarn and it came out thick and cozy, a real weekend project.

Finished this in two evenings because the 2-row repeat is genuinely that easy to memorize. The super bulky yarn makes the ripple show up right away, so it looks impressive without much effort. Already planning a second one in a different color.
