The matte black finish against the white lettering looks even sharper in person than in the photos, and the wood has a nice weight to it that keeps it from sliding around on the table. We put one at each place setting and the monochrome theme just tied the whole tablescape together perfectly.

The black wood finish gave our tables a clean, modern look without clashing with the decor. The set of five was just right for our head table and a couple of side spots, though the paint on one edge was slightly chipped out of the box.
