Wasn't sure how the traditional rose style would sit on my ankle, but the old-school floral detail is exactly what I wanted. The blackwork shading is solid and it healed up clean in about two weeks.
The dark blackwork on this rose is way more striking in person than I expected, and the old-school floral shading holds up even on a smaller ankle piece. Two weeks in and the lines are still crisp, no blowouts.
Got mine done last week and the bold black lines really pop against my skin, the petals have that classic old-school thickness that ages well. It's the kind of piece that feels tough but still feminine on the ankle. I keep catching myself staring at it.
