I've been making pom poms for hats and the 6 inch size comes out so full and even. The tassel side is a nice bonus too, way quicker than wrapping around a piece of cardboard like I used to.
Wrapping yarn around the 2 inch setting took me a minute to figure out, but once I got going I knocked out a dozen pom poms for my daughter's hat in one evening. The tassel side works just as well, and I love that it goes up to 6 inches for bigger projects.
I've made pom poms before with cardboard circles and this is so much faster. The size markings are actually accurate, which surprised me — my 3-inch poms came out the same every time.
