Carly Simon, Martha's Vineyard, 1981

The grain and clarity in this 1981 shot of Carly are stunning—you can practically feel the island breeze on her face. Framed it in my hallway and guests keep stopping to ask about it, which says everything.

I was a little worried the print would look too dark in person, but the way the light hits her hair and the shoreline is really beautifully captured. The paper quality feels substantial and the image has a nice depth to it. It's a solid addition to my collection for the price.

The shot of her on the beach feels so intimate, like a private moment. I just wish the print came with a slightly thicker paper stock to better hold the deep tones.
