Damon Newpher Fly Fishing, NY

The wading instruction was clear and patient, even for a beginner like me. I landed my first brown trout on a dry fly thanks to his precise guidance. Definitely worth the trip upstate.

The booking process was straightforward, and the guide's knowledge of local hatches made all the difference. I landed three brown trout before lunch on a stretch I'd never fished before.

The Orvis-Endorsed credential actually meant something here — Damon knew exactly where the fish were holding and had us casting into prime spots within the first hour. My casting improved more in one afternoon than in the past year of fishing on my own.
