The undated layout gives me total freedom to just pick it up whenever the mood strikes, and the paper quality feels much nicer than what I’d expect from a “second.” I actually had to hunt for the flaw that made it a second, that’s how good it looks.

The pages are thicker than what I usually grab at the store, and the undated layout means I can start using it any month I want. I’ve already got a pen test on mine and the ink doesn’t bleed through, so the "second" status is honestly invisible to me.

Honestly couldn't tell these were seconds — the paper is thick enough that my gel pen doesn't bleed through, and the sizing is perfect for jotting quick lists. Grabbed one for my desk and a spare for my bag, zero regrets.
