The cover print quality is sharp enough that you can see the texture of his shirt and the gris-gris beads clearly. Been a Dr. John fan for years and Gumbo is my favorite, so having this Feinstein shot framed in my office makes me smile every time I glance up.
Hung this in my hallway and the color saturation is unreal — Feinstein really caught something in that 1972 cover shot. The print quality holds up close too, no muddy shadows in the background like I've seen on cheaper reproductions.
Hung this above my record shelf and it fits the space perfectly. The 1972 Gumbo cover shot has this warm, lived-in quality that a lot of modern prints just don't have, and the paper stock feels substantial in hand.
