The forest scenes in this one are so richly detailed I keep noticing new things every time I flip through it. I bought it for my coffee table, but it's ended up being the book guests actually pick up and get lost in.
The Brussels setting is charming but the pacing felt uneven in spots. Some of the legends about the European forests genuinely pulled me in while others just dragged. Decent read if you're into mythical folklore, though I expected more atmosphere overall.
