Fire Island Modernist：Horace Gifford

I was blown away by how well the book captures the raw cedar textures and glass reflections of Gifford's designs—the photography alone makes you feel the salt air. The detailed floor plans really helped me understand his spatial genius, even though I've never set foot on Fire Island.

The cedar and glass pavilions are documented so thoroughly that I almost felt the ocean breeze flipping through the pages. It's the kind of architectural history that makes you want to book a summer rental immediately, even in January.

The photography really brings out the clean lines of those cedar and glass pavilions; it's like taking a walk through 1960s beach house history. I've been flipping through it every night and noticing new details in the architectural plans.
