Frank Zappa, 1984

Lynn Goldsmith really captured Zappa mid-thought in that 1984 shot—the print quality is sharp enough to see every wrinkle in his shirt. It's now the centerpiece of my music room, and every guest stops to ask about it.

The contrast in this print is excellent, really bringing out the texture in his jacket and the intensity of his expression. It's a strong addition to my music photography collection, though the frame I had for it was slightly too small.
