I wasn't sure a swatch would tell me much, but this one's thick enough that I can actually feel how the fibers hold warmth. It's been sitting under my bare feet by the couch all week and stays soft, not scratchy.

The natural fibers feel surprisingly plush underfoot, way warmer than the wool rug I had before. Getting the swatch first was smart since the grey shifts a bit in different light.
