I was at a lot of shows back then and the way Kirk West captured the smoke and the sweat on that stage just brings the whole night right back. The photo's got that raw, documentary feel that actually makes you feel like you're standing in the crowd again.

The grain and contrast in this black and white shot are perfect for a live show from '81, really captures the gritty vibe of the Capitol Theatre. The print quality does justice to Kirk West's work, and I love how it focuses purely on Gregg mid-performance.

Got this framed on my wall and the way Kirk West captured that December '81 show is pure magic—you can practically hear the Hammond organ through the static. The black and white tones give it a gritty, live feel that really suits the Capitol Theatre era.
