The crochet hook is surprisingly easy to hold, even for a beginner like me, and the yarn is soft enough that my first few stitches actually look decent. I had Gudetama's grumpy face finished in one afternoon, and it’s already bringing me so much joy sitting on my desk.

I was surprised at how soft the yarn feels—much nicer than other beginner kits I've tried. The pre-started loop made it easy to pick up crochet without frustration. Only gave 4 stars because the video instructions could be a bit clearer on a couple stitch steps.
