毛翼西部綠蜉蝣

The parachute post on this one is what sold me—it stays upright even when the current kicks up, and the green wing is easy to track in choppy light. I fished it on a windy afternoon and it rode high the whole time, no drag issues. Solid pattern for rough water.

The water was churning hard last week and this pattern stayed right on top, easy to track through the riffles. It took a few solid strikes that I'd have missed with a lower-riding fly.

First time using a Hairwing Western Green Drake on a windy stretch of river and it sat right on top of the foam line without sinking. Really helped me spot the drift even in choppy water.
