Heads Up Fly Fishing, CO

The guide knew the river like the back of his hand and had us on fish within the first hour, even with tricky afternoon winds. Worth every penny for the local expertise alone.

The Orvis endorsement was the main reason I booked, and honestly the trip exceeded that expectation—the guide knew every seam and riffle on the Animas. We landed fish on dry flies that I’d been missing for weeks on my own, and the pace felt perfectly tailored to what I wanted.

The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the local hatches, which made for a productive morning on the water. I just wish the trip had been a little longer to explore more of the river.
