The acetate has a lovely weight to it and the 2-inch size actually holds my thick hair without slipping. You can tell it's handmade in France, the edges are so smooth.
My daughter loses clips constantly but this one has stayed put through two months of preschool. The 1/2 inch size grips fine hair without slipping, and the wisp shape is subtle enough for everyday wear.
