My dog worked the coverts hard all afternoon, and the birds were flushing strong—the guides really knew where to put us for the best action. The 40-acre CRP field was perfect for steady shooting without feeling crowded. We’re already planning a return trip next season.

The scenery alone made the trip worth it—rolling prairie that felt straight out of a classic painting. Even the drive out to Promise City was easy, and the birds were plentiful enough that we never stood around bored.

The guides really knew the land and how to work the dogs—our group flushed over a dozen roosters in the first two hours alone. The classic Iowa prairie setting made it feel like a proper hunting trip, not just a canned experience.
