House of Dorchester Rose & Violet Creams

I bit into one expecting a gritty sugar shell, but the rose cream inside is silky and floral without being soapy. The 70% dark chocolate gives it a proper grown-up bitterness that balances the sweet centre perfectly.

The dark chocolate coating is perfectly thick and snaps satisfyingly when you bite into it, and the violet cream center has an intense, floral taste that lingers just long enough. I've already reordered these for my mum's birthday.

The rose filling tastes like real petals, not perfume, and the dark chocolate snap is satisfyingly crisp without being bitter. I was worried the violet would be too flowery, but it's surprisingly delicate. A box doesn't last long in my house.
