Kiss, Passaic, NJ, 1974

That shot of the band at The Capitol Theatre is so crisp it feels like you could hear the amps buzzing. The contrast in their early makeup is perfect for my music room wall.

The lighting on Gene Simmons in this Bob Gruen print is incredible—you can see every detail of his leather-and-spikes costume from that early 1974 show. The matte finish on the photo paper gives it a classic, archival feel that fits the era perfectly.

You can almost feel the crowd's energy from that 1974 show—Bob Gruen really captured the raw early Kiss vibe. The black-and-white processing makes the stage lights pop perfectly against the dark theater.
