The aldehydes give this such a fizzy, luminous opening that the rose and musk feel almost airy rather than heavy. I get a good six hours of wear, and the drydown is a soft, woody warmth that stays close to the skin.
The rose and orris together smell like clean skin rather than a bouquet, which I wasn't expecting. It stays close for the first hour, then the musk and woods creep in and it just gets warmer. Wore it to a dinner and kept catching it on my scarf the next morning.
I expected the aldehydes to hit sharp, but they soften into a powdery orris and rose within twenty minutes, which is lovely. Projection is quieter than I'd like for the price, though it clings close to the skin for a good six hours.
