I grabbed this for jotting down field notes and it slips right into my jacket pocket at 5¼ by 7 inches, which is exactly the size I needed. The staple binding holds up fine even when I'm flipping pages back and forth, and I love that all 14 sheets are unlined and recycled.

The staple binding lies flat when I flip it open, which makes jotting down quick findings one-handed a lot easier. At 5 1⁄4 by 7 inches, it slips into my jacket pocket without bulging, and the 14 unlined pages are just enough for a weekend of field notes. I’ve already gone through two of these.

The staple binding lies flat when I need both hands free, which is more than I can say for glued notebooks I've used. Paper takes pencil and ballpoint well, though I wish the 14 pages were a touch thicker for inkier pens. Still, a solid pocket-sized companion for quick lists and sketches.
