Motley Crue, Hollywood, CA, 1982

The grain and contrast in this print capture that raw early energy perfectly—it’s like being in the crowd. The paper stock has a nice matte finish that doesn’t glare under my track lighting.

I framed it and hung it in my office above my desk, and every time I walk by I stop for a second. The black-and-white grain on the archival paper makes that 1982 club energy feel like it's happening right in front of you. If you're a fan of that era's raw rock photography, this one's a keeper.

The print captures that gritty early-80s L.A. energy perfectly—you can almost smell the sweat and hairspray. Framed it in my living room and guests always stop to ask about the story behind the shot.
