Pat Benatar, Los Angeles, 1980

The grain in the print captures the grit of 1980 perfectly, and her expression feels electric. It’s now the centerpiece of my music room wall.

Came for the music, stayed for the way Lynn Goldsmith froze that raw 1980 energy — the lighting on her face feels almost alive, like you're standing in the studio. Frame it big and it anchors the whole room.

The grain and contrast in this portrait are exactly what you want from a 1980 rock shoot—raw and moody without feeling dated. It’s hanging in my hallway now, and every time I walk past, I stop for a second. Lynn Goldsmith really captured that era’s energy.
