Roger Waters, Islington, London, 1970

I bought this for a friend who’s a huge Pink Floyd fan, and the detail in the cramped basement scene is so vivid it feels like you’re there with the writer. The print quality is sharp, capturing that small window light perfectly.

You can almost feel the claustrophobia of that basement flat just by looking at this photo. The grainy black-and-white captures the cramped, dim setting perfectly for a true music history fan.

This print perfectly captures that cramped, dimly lit basement vibe described in the piece—you can really feel the intimacy of the interview. The detail in the shadows and the single window is exactly what drew me to it.
