Row Boats, New York, 1964

The way the marina's calm surface holds those row boats and the tiny figures just draws me in every time I walk past it. It's got that quiet, unhurried feel of a 1960s summer afternoon, and the black-and-white tones really make the stillness stick with you.

The stillness in this print is incredible—you can almost feel the quiet of that New York marina. The black-and-white really captures the calm, leisurely atmosphere of the row boats perfectly. I've already found a spot for it in my hallway where the light hits just right.

The contrast in this print is really excellent, bringing out the textures of the old rowboats and the ripples on the water. I hung it in my study and it adds a nice, quiet focal point to the room. The only small thing is the frame it came with felt a bit basic for the price.
